In the first of two plenary talks at the 2023 Praxis Summit, Andy Crouch (Praxis Partner for Theology & Culture) invites us to change how we talk about making a meaningful difference in the world. As we pursue redemptive quests, especially in hopes of alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable in our world, it matters how we think and talk about creating impact or exercising influence.
Andy asks, “Is it really the case that the repair of our world, which is so much about repairing the damage done by violence and violation, is just going to replicate the very model of what damages the world? Impact puts a dent in the universe. But how do you undent?”
